Love it! One of your most intriguing settings and it's great to see it expanded upon.

Just a bit of constructive criticism, I would like to get a window into Princess Timtup's feelings about the ordeal. I understand she must play the stoic unbreakable leader on the surface, but I'd like to see that charade break momentarily like in part 1 of Zhekani. That part where she broke down in front of the narrator really made the story.

I like it, it'd be nice if some devices were used in her travels, that wheeled tanning frame in particular is quite inspired. To be honest i'd prefer it if she was not rescued, it reminds me of the memos from the commissar series, which i'd like you to return to eventually. Could you possibly write an alternate one where she is the "people's princess", least among equals, who owns no possessions and is the permanently naked servant to the nation? She could be wheeled around to do menial labour, or even act as an educational model.
